Introduction
The Christian Accounting Student Fellowship is a gathering of Christian Students within the department of management and accounting of the prestigious ObafemiAwolowo University, Ile-Ife. The fellowship pioneered by Pastor YomiFasalojo (Now in UK), more than 20 years ago has a golden mandate of enhancing the spiritual. Academic, financial, professional and social welfare of Christian students, as well as propagating the gospel of Christ and establishing the Kingdom of God, within the department and the campus at large.
Over the last years, the fellowship has been firmly committed to this very important mandate through various programs.
Aims and Objective
- To foster unity among Gods Children from different backgrounds
- To project the image of Christ in the study of accounting’
- To work as a mission with a firm commitment to speaking effectively about the gospel and its impact on problems of accounting and the society
- To encourage prayers for the department and the country.
- To provide room for the exchange of information and experience relating to the practical problems of Christian accounting students and Christians accountants and the application of the principle of the Christian faith, current accountancy and social problems by;
a. Making publications
b. Arranging for conferences, symposia, lectures and suitable activities.
